VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump caught cheating at golf (again) in Scotland

With so many bat-shit crazy events and unconscionable tragedies filling our newsfeeds and airwaves on the daily, something as pathetic and innocuous as a pickled, 79-year-old man cheating (yet again) during a meaningless round of golf doesn't feel like main-page news, but this behavior says so much about the fragile mental state of America's authoritarian narcissist-in-chief. So legendary is the con man's golf game, the MAGA cult leader once "won" a club championship at one of his golf courses even though he missed the opening round. He phoned in his score — literally, he called in to report a completely made-up score — and was eventually crowned the victor. Incredible! In related news, did you know the late North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il shot FIVE holes-in-one the FIRST time he ever played golf?! Man, some leaders are blessed with ALL the skills!

Take Action: Demand the GOP stop covering for Trump and release the Epstein files!

Trump's CIA chief threatens Hillary Clinton, James Comey, and John Brennan with indictments
Donald Trump attack dog and current CIA chief John Ratcliffe took to the Fox News airwaves yesterday and dropped a desperation bomb in the administration's latest efforts to distract an understandably agitated base still seething over the MAGA cult leader's about-face on releasing the infamous Epstein files. Ratcliffe turned the clock all the way back to 2016 and suggested criminal prosecutions could be forthcoming for Hillary Clinton, former FBI chief James Comey, and Ratcliffe's predecessor at the CIA, John Brennan over the so-called "Russia hoax."

Top scientist takes on the GOP's crusade of ignorance

Jasmine Clark for Georgia: Trump, RFK Jr., and the rest of their cronies in Congress have taken a chainsaw to our scientific research, public health, and climate initatives and are waging an all out-war on science and the truth. PhD scientist Dr. Jasmine Clark has had enough, and she's running for Congress in order to restore sanity to the government and make America a global leader in scientific development once again. Will you chip in to help jump-start her campaign and flip the House blue?

DOGE reportedly using AI tool to create "delete list" to cut 50% of all federal regulations by January
The "DOGE AI Deregulation Decision Tool" will reportedly analyze 200,000 government regulations and eliminate at least half of them by the first anniversary of Donald Trump's second inauguration. What could possibly go horribly wrong?

Take Action: Demand Congress investigate Trump's cuts to FEMA and the Weather Service!

Israel committing genocide in Gaza, say Israel-based human rights groups
Two leading human rights organizations based in Israel, B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights, say Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and the country’s western allies have a legal and moral duty to stop it. In reports published on Monday, the two groups said Israel had targeted civilians in Gaza only because of their identity as Palestinians over nearly two years of war, causing severe and in some cases irreparable damage to Palestinian society. Multiple international and Palestinian groups have already described the war as genocidal, but reports from two of Israel-Palestine’s most respected human rights organizations, who have for decades documented systemic abuses, is likely to add to pressure for action. The reports detailed crimes including the killing of tens of thousands of women, children, and elderly people; mass forced displacement and starvation; and the destruction of homes and civilian infrastructure that have deprived Palestinians of healthcare, education, and other basic rights.

DOJ drops cases against LA protesters after officers caught making false claims

Well now that is just shocking, SHOCKING, we tell ya! It's a good thing Donald Trump deployed thousands of National Guard troops to the incredibly dangerous streets of Los Angeles to back up US immigration officers who were caught making false and misleading statements in their reports about the overwhelmingly peaceful and lawful protests they themselves crashed and subsequently turned violent!

Venezuelans describe being beaten, sexually assaulted, and told to "commit suicide" during El Salvador detention
Three Venezuelan men told NBC News they experienced physical and psychological torture, including one man’s allegation that he was sexually assaulted, after the Trump administration sent them to a notorious prison in El Salvador. The men were held for four months in the Terrorism Confinement Center, or CECOT, a Salvadoran megaprison known for its harsh conditions and reported abuse. The allegations included beatings that left bruises and cuts, psychological abuse, and the denial of necessities such as food or bathroom access. The Trump administration sent about 250 Venezuelan men to CECOT in March and has accused them of being members of the Tren de Aragua gang. Many of the men and some of their families and attorneys have denied the claim. The men were released and flown to Venezuela on July 18 as part of a prisoner swap with the United States. If you're wondering how these men could simultaneously be some of the world's scariest and most dangerous criminals BUT also allowed to walk scot-free, you are not alone.

US-EU trade deal is a "dark day" for Europe, says French PM
French Prime Minister François Bayrou said the EU has capitulated to Donald Trump’s threats of ever-increasing tariffs, as he labeled the framework deal struck in Scotland on Sunday as a "dark day" for Europe. "It is a dark day when an alliance of free peoples, brought together to affirm their common values and to defend their common interests, resigns itself to submission," Bayrou wrote on Twitter on Monday. The German chancellor, Friedrich Merz, and the Italian prime minister, Giorgia Meloni, welcomed the deal, which the European trade commissioner Maroš Šefčovič described on a Monday as a "breakthrough" in the face of a potential ruinous trade war between the world’s two biggest economies.
