Dear JohnCan you make a donation and be a catalyst for change?

I stepped into my new role here at Church Action on Poverty this month. I’m excited to be leading an organisation that is so firmly rooted in the experiences of people who’ve lived with poverty. I’ve been working with churches for the past 25 years because I firmly believe in their power to be catalysts for change in communities. We have exciting plans to help churches and Local Pantries do even more, locally and nationally. The support of committed individual donors is vital to this work.

Already this year, we’ve…

played a key role in persuading the government to rethink plans for immoral and harmful cuts to disability benefits;

supported partners in numerous communities to open Local Pantries that offer dignity, choice and hope;

accompanied church members and workers with experience of poverty as they work with clergy to build a church that is genuinely on the side of marginalised people.

Your support can enable even more people to exercise their dignity, agency and power, as we work together for a world without poverty. Please make a donation today if you can.
