Yesterday, Sen. Chris Murphy and I packed the house for a town hall in Dayton, Ohio - a district where Republican Rep. Mike Turner has REFUSED to show up for his constituents.
But while Rep. Turner was still in hiding, HUNDREDS of his voters turned out.
It’s undeniable: working folks are fed up, and they should be. While people struggle just to afford the basics, Republicans are casting votes that could sabotage their livelihoods.
But the people aren’t backing down – they’re standing up, getting louder, and demanding accountability.
Because you and I both know that it shouldn’t matter if your member of Congress is a Republican or Democrat. They should give a damn about you.
Well, I give a damn. That’s why I’m holding town halls in red districts across the country – because while Republicans hide and vote to cut SNAP and Medicaid, working people are coming together. And thanks to you, I’m right there with them.
But holding town halls across the country takes a lot of planning, and a lot of resources. That’s why I’m counting on your support so we can stay on the road and bring even more people into this fight for our future.
Just one donation from you today will keep me on the road so we can grow our people-powered movement against Republicans’ attacks on working people. Can you give just $1 as your first donation to my campaign so I can hold even more red-district town halls across the country? >>
