If the past 189 days of the second Trump administration have shown us anything, it’s that no matter how insane, chaotic, or dangerous Trump is, my Republican colleagues are still more than willing to bend the knee and do whatever he says.

Let’s look at the facts: Trump’s Big, Ugly Bill? Republicans knew it would rip millions off their health insurance, raise prices, and explode our national debt – just to give tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans. My Republican colleagues knew it was bad legislation. But they voted for it anyway.
When Elon Musk and his DOGE bros took a chainsaw to the federal government? The GOP stood back in silence and watched hardworking public servants get fired over Trump’s politically-motivated vendetta.
And don’t even get me started on the Epstein files… Republicans are allowing Trump to peddle ridiculous conspiracy theories to distract Americans from the truth.
Look, I’ve tried to work across the aisle to get enough Republicans on our side to put a real check on this administration’s worst impulses. But here’s the reality: taking back the Senate for Democrats is the only way we can put a check on Trump.
The problem is, if we lose Virginia next year, Democrats have no chance of taking back the Senate. And now, I’m reading reports that a Trump-aligned super PAC has raised a record-breaking $85 million just this year to go after Democrat incumbents like me and prop up Trump’s candidates.
That’s why I’m asking if you’ll chip in to my reelection campaign before our end-of-month fundraising deadline. We need to raise $50,000 to meet our fundraising benchmarks for the month so we can fight off the attacks we know are coming my way, win this race, and take back the Senate for Democrats.
