Elise’s Statement on the New York Governor’s Race


Elise stated –


“Under Kathy Hochul’s failed Far Left Democrat rule, a radical Communist
Defund-the-Police Antisemite may be elected Mayor of New York City, a CBP
officer was just brutally shot in the face by an illegal in NY due to dangerous
sanctuary state laws, and New Yorkers are fleeing the highest taxed state in
the nation. Republicans are more unified than ever in our mission to fire the
Worst Governor in America Kathy Hochul in 2026. Mike Lawler is a great,
effective, and hardworking Representative for New York’s 17th Congressional
District and is committed to protecting the House Republican Majority. As I
have previously stated, I am focused on supporting strong Republican local and
county candidates on the ballot this November to lay the groundwork with a
strong team for next year. I will make a final decision and announcement after
this year’s November election which we are all focused on. I am grateful for
the outpouring of support across our great state from Republicans,
Independents, and Democrats who know it is our last best chance to Save New
York."

Elise’s Legislation to Empower New York Workers Moves Toward Passage in
Congress


Elise stated –


“Millions of Americans choose to be independent contractors to have more
control of their schedule with increased flexibility. Despite this, the Biden
administration decided to turn its back on these workers by proposing a flawed
new rule eliminating this work classification, taking away opportunities from
hardworking American workers.

I am proud to champion legislation that allows the American worker to choose
how they want to classify their work and provide clarity and consistency for
creators with clear 'employee' definitions across federal law.”

Elise Introduces the Military Learning For Credit Act


Elise stated –


“I am proud to introduce this legislation with Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander
to ensure America’s service members can unlock more educational and
professional opportunities.

Providing more opportunity for our brave service members who selflessly serve
our nation to receive the benefits they have earned is one of the many ways we
can show our appreciation to them. It is incredibly important that we honor the
extraordinary commitment our service members have made to our country as well
as incentivize recruitment of future troops.”


Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander stated –


“My father used to say he got his education from the United States Navy, a
reality I experienced myself as an intelligence officer for more than a decade.
Our veterans go through intensive training during their service to our country.
They should be able to apply that experience if they apply to college.

I am proud to introduce the Military Learning for Credit Act to support our
veterans as they transition out of the service and give them every opportunity
to apply the skills they earned in the military as they pursue a higher
education.”

Elise Introduces Legislation to Increase Transparency and Protect American
Investors from Chinese Communist Party Threats


Elise stated –


“I am proud to introduce the American Investment Accountability Act and the
Trusted Foreign Auditing Act to ensure accurate and timely information on the
true scope and nature of financial transactions encompassing Communist China
and other adversarial countries.

We must have greater visibility into how U.S. investments are strengthening
the capabilities of our adversaries and prevent Chinese companies from
sidestepping Western auditing standards.”


Senator Rick Scott stated –


“The Chinese Communist Party is actively waging economic warfare against the
United States, using compromised auditors and deceptive financial tactics to
infiltrate our markets and undermine our national security. These CCP-linked
firms continue to evade oversight by U.S. regulators or follow the same
reporting and accountability standards required of U.S. companies to
intentionally deceive American investors and capitalize off their dollars.

I am glad to lead the Trusted Foreign Auditing Act and American Investment
Accountability Act with Representative Elise Stefanik to expose and block these
threats by cracking down on corrupt auditors and forcing transparency on U.S.
investments tied to hostile regimes like Communist China to ensure American
taxpayer funds no longer props up our adversaries. It's time to end the CCP’s
backdoor access to our economy and defend the integrity of our financial
