I’m Jena Nelson, and today I’m officially launching my campaign for Congress to flip Oklahoma’s 5th District.

I’m running because Oklahoma families are being squeezed from every direction. Grocery costs are skyrocketing. Housing and insurance are out of control. It’s becoming too expensive just to live — and our leaders in Washington? They’re doing nothing.

Worse than nothing — they’re actively making life harder for Oklahomans. That’s why I’m stepping up.

My team and I set a goal to raise $15,000 today to hit the ground running and prove that this campaign is serious and ready to fight for Oklahomans. Can you split $10 or any amount between Blue Amp Action and my campaign to represent OK-05 in Congress?

When I ran for State Superintendent in 2022, I earned more statewide votes than any other Democrat. I told the truth about Ryan Walters then — and I’ll tell the truth now about what MAGA Republicans like Stephanie Bice are doing to our communities. 

And the truth is? Our elected officials don’t care about us, and it shows.

They’re passing tax cuts for billionaires and cutting budgets for working families. They’re saddling future generations with debt while ripping away the very safety nets that help everyday people survive. 

Stephanie Bice has voted to support these decisions — casting a deciding vote to gut essential programs like Medicaid that nearly half of all children born in Oklahoma rely on. That’s not just bad policy — it’s a betrayal of the people she was elected to serve.

Now I’m running for Congress to make sure our government works for us, John, because Oklahomans deserve better.
