[link removed] [[link removed]]John, it's Lt. Gov. Austin Davis. Recently, I wrote a guest column in The Times Leader about JD Vance's unwelcome visit to the Commonwealth.
In case you missed it, here's the gist: What Congressional Republicans in Washington voted for will make life even harder for blue-collar and working-class people, all to give tax breaks to their billionaire friends.
JD Vance should be ashamed of what he did to Pennsylvanians and hardworking people across the country.
I promise I will always use my position of power to stand up to those who abuse theirs, but I need your support in my run for re-election. Can I count on you to help me get ahead of Republican spending in PA? [[link removed]]

JD Vance decided to show up in Pennsylvania in an attempt to distract us from the fact that he just passed a historically awful spending bill that will rob millions of their healthcare coverage and food assistance, all to pay for tax breaks for the ultra-rich.
Will you help make JD Vance's publicity visit backfire by making it an incredible fundraising day for our campaign? Every dollar you chip in now will go a long way in helping us fight back against Republican dark money → [[link removed]]
FIGHT BACK [[link removed]]
Vice President JD Vance grew up in a blue-collar community, like mine, so he knows that working people often rely on Medicaid and SNAP. That's why it's all the more disturbing to see him claim that his administration's cuts don't matter.
My experience growing up around families who relied on Medicaid and SNAP to make ends meet turned me into a fighter for the working class. I went into public service because I wanted to make my community better.
I know firsthand just how critical those programs are, and so does Vance. But Vance has made his motives clear, and he'd rather rub shoulders with billionaires in Washington than fight for the American people.
There's just no excuse for the real pain that these cuts will cause across our Commonwealth.
Rural hospitals will be forced to close their doors. Everyone, from farmers to grocers, utilizes SNAP to keep their businesses afloat. People across Pennsylvania and the nation will be forced to go without the care they need. Even if you don't use Medicaid or SNAP directly, these cuts will impact you.
I believe that those who are closest to the pain should be closest to the power. We're seeing right now what happens when those who are furthest from the pain have all the power in Washington. It's stealing from the poor to give to the rich.
We cannot let their power continue unchecked, which is why I’m asking for your help today. Will you chip in to my re-election campaign now so I can keep standing up for Pennsylvanians? [[link removed]]
