Hi there,
In Kenya, Jean Marie works with youth to raise money, deliver food packages and educate others about COVID-19 prevention.
In Jordan, Doha greets patients at the front desk of the IRC health clinic in Azraq refugee camp.
Every day, refugees like Jean Marie and Doha, who fled war and persecution, head into battle against COVID-19. These youth leaders, health volunteers and community advocates put their own lives at risk to care for refugees just like them.
Their work is essential, in protecting both their communities and our world from the spread of disease. When you make a gift in honor of World Refugee Day, you support Jean Marie, Doha and all refugees working on the front lines of the pandemic. Donate now »

When Jean Marie's family fled war and intense fighting in Rwanda, they were frightened. "You have to escape through rivers, through different places you are not welcome," he said.
When Doha fled bombings and violence in Syria, she had to leave the only life she had ever known: "I wanted to study philosophy and I could not complete my studies. There were airstrikes and shellings. I left my studies, my family and everything."
Jean Marie and Doha know what it's like to not have a home, to not feel safe or welcomed, to not have access to health care. They know what it's like to only have hope for a brighter future to keep you moving forward.
That's why they – and the hundreds of other refugees who work at IRC — are on a mission to provide food, health care, guidance and hope to families still living in crisis.
Your donation today supports refugees who are on the ground right now helping families survive the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Together, we can empower the next Rwandan refugee who wants to be a youth leader, like Jean Marie, or a future health volunteer working tirelessly to care for her community, like Doha.
That's how we help build a better world and future. Please, make your gift now » [link removed]
