Congress recently approved a devastating $1.1 billion federal funding cut
to public media institutions like PBS and NPR.^1
This isn’t just about national programming. These media outlets are
lifelines in communities across the country. They tell local stories, hold
the powerful accountable, and provide critical information during
wildfires, floods, and other emergencies. In many rural areas, they are
the only reliable source of local news.^2
Now, that infrastructure is under threat. These cuts jeopardize the
futures of dozens of stations — especially small and rural ones that
depend on federal funding.
If these stations go dark, so do the voices of the communities they serve.
And that’s no accident — this is a calculated attack on truth,
transparency, and connection.
That’s why the Squad is stepping up to fight back: To defend public media
and turn up the pressure to restore funding. But to do that, we need your
help.

Contributions to The Squad Victory Fund will be allocated as follows: 8.33% to each of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress, Ilhan for Congress, The Committee to Elect Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib for Congress, Courage to Change, Inspiring Leadership Has a Name PAC, Power of Us PAC, Rooted in Community Leadership PAC, Politivist PAC, and For the Children PAC.
Any contributor may designate their contribution for a particular participant. The allocation formula above may change if any contributor makes a contribution that, when allocated, would exceed the amount that the contributor may lawfully give to any participant.
