In the wake of the death of George Floyd and others, Host Jordan LaPier and BPC regulars Theresa Cardinal Brown and Cris Ramón examine topics surrounding immigration law enforcement and racism, including the call to abolish ICE; the relationship between immigration prosecutions and non-citizen populations in federal custody and potential mirrors to the over-incarceration of black people in the U.S.; and the role race has played throughout the history of the U.S. immigration system.

In this week’s episode, Host Jordan LaPier and BPC regulars Theresa Cardinal Brown and Cris Ramón discuss a new BPC-Morning Consult survey that gauged voters’ responses to President Trump’s executive order from April, the rumors of President Trump’s plans to issue a new executive order addressing temporary work visas, and how the U.S. and countries around the world are taking steps toward reopening.
