This is a picture of me as a kid on a hike on a family picnic with my siblings and parents.

I was born in Belfast and raised in the island community of North Haven, a town of just 400 people. It’s still my home today. And like communities across Maine, it’s a place where people show up for each other—whether we agree on politics or not.

My community shaped me and how I think about solving problems.

My mom and dad were young parents, raising three kids and earning a living. They served as EMTs, volunteered on the school board, built boats, farmed, started a knitting company and still found time to help their neighbors.

From them, I learned the values I’ve carried with me my whole life: work hard, use common sense to solve problems, and always be part of the solution in your community.

That’s the Maine way—and it’s how I’ve tried to lead ever since.

But today, those values are under attack. In 2025, the Trump administration seems to think that looking out for your neighbors is out of fashion. The GOP is slashing Medicaid, SNAP benefits, and school lunches for millions of Americans.

I’m running for Governor because I believe Maine needs a leader who understands our small communities and struggling families, who listens before acting, and who knows how to get things done.

And I’m not afraid to take on the big fights—whether it’s Donald Trump or anyone who tries to take advantage of Maine people.

I’ve got the experience, common sense, and commitment to never give up on my neighbors or Maine people.
