Republicans just pushed through a law that gut funding for PBS, NPR, and local public stations.
Because of this, communities across the country — especially here in NC-02 — are now at risk of losing access to trusted news, emergency alerts, and educational programming that so many families rely on.
This is a deliberate move to silence the truth and leave people in the dark. They’ve already pulled the plug on public media — and now we must fight back. Please take a moment to sign on and show your support for public media. We need to fight for it now more than ever: >> [link removed]

Republicans just passed a law that will gut funding for public broadcasting — money that Congress already approved on a bipartisan basis.
Because of this law, rural TV and radio stations like PBS and NPR are now at risk of going dark. That means no trusted news. No critical weather alerts during storms or floods. And no educational shows for families and their kids to enjoy.
This isn’t about saving money, NAME. It’s about keeping people uninformed — so they can continue their attacks on working families and our democracy without pushback.
Public media connects people to facts, to their communities, and to each other. That makes it a threat to those who thrive on misinformation, fear, and division. So they’ve taken steps to shut it down.
We can’t let them get away with it.
We’re fighting to protect the resources working families in our district rely on — and to fight back against this anti-democratic agenda. But I need your help.
Will you add your name now to stand up for public media — and defend truth, access, and accountability for the families of NC-02? >> [link removed]
Thank you for being in this fight with me,
Deborah
