First, New York voters made their voices heard. They chose leaders who believe in progress, not chaos. They sent a message that they support the work Democrats are doing to lower costs, protect freedoms, and deliver for working families.

Then, New York Republicans ignored them. Instead of listening to their constituents, they doubled down on the Trump agenda and passed his budget bill that will rob an estimated $13 billion from New York’s health care system, rip away health insurance from approximately 1.5 million New Yorkers, and strip food assistance from hundreds of thousands of families.

Now, Governor Kathy Hochul is fighting back. She’s standing up for New York families and doing everything in her power to limit the impacts of these disastrous cuts.
