John, today is the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act , a landmark piece of civil rights legislation — guaranteeing basic rights for millions of people nationwide who live with disabilities.

The law protects people from discrimination in the workplace and hiring, in public spaces, on public transportation, and in schools across the country.

Its passage put our country on a path to be one of the most accessible countries in the world, which is an achievement worth celebrating.

Let’s be clear: Disability rights are human rights. And the work to make our world truly inclusive for everyone continues even now.

If you’re standing with us in the fight for inclusivity, will you add your name today? [[link removed]]
