Today: NCUA Board to issue exams RFI, proposed rule on risk-based net worth
The NCUA Board meets today and is expected to issue a request for information on the future of exams and supervision, a final rule on technical amendments, and a proposed rule on risk-based net worth. The board is also set to receive a briefing on the agency's guaranteed notes oversight program and an annual report on minority depository institutions (MDIs).

2019 HMDA data on mortgage lending available
Data on mortgage lending transactions from more than 5,500 U.S. financial institutions – required by the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) – is now available from the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC).

Senate NDAA includes CU-opposed provision; NAFCU fights for removal
The Senate Armed Services Committee has released the text of its version of the fiscal year 2021 National Defense Authorization Act, which currently includes a NAFCU-opposed provision that could disadvantage credit unions as it would treat all banks, including large ones like Wells Fargo, the same as local, not-for-profit credit unions when it comes to nominal leases on military bases.

CUs: Comment on NCUA's annual reg review
NAFCU is currently seeking comment from member credit unions on the NCUA's 2020 Regulatory Review, published earlier this year by the agency's Office of General Counsel. The review, conducted annually, evaluates one-third of current regulations for regulatory burdens, administrative hurdles, and clarity.

SBA updates PPP availability for individuals with criminal histories
The Small Business Administration (SBA) has updated an interim final rule (IFR) regarding paycheck protection program (PPP) loan availability for individuals with criminal histories.
