Hello,
When I was deployed to Afghanistan, I videocalled home to talk to my family on Skype as often as I could.
Christmas was a special one. We were all so excited because it was the last holiday I would miss before coming home. The video quality wasn’t great – not like you can get now with FaceTime – but I’ll never forget the grainy and pixelated smiles on everyone’s face.
Those Skype calls were a Godsend for my husband, Chris, and our five kids. But for me, they were oftentimes painful. It was so hard to see everyone growing and changing so fast, knowing everything I was missing. My youngest was just a year old when I had hugged and kissed them all goodbye. Would he even remember me by the time I got home?
I remember fighting back tears as I walked in the dark back to my office, past the plywood shanties we lived in. Always had to pull it together. Always back to work. Always a new mission.
I am now running for Congress against Lauren Boebert because I know what it’s like to spend Christmas thousands of miles away from your family, in a mountainous desert that isn’t the one you call home. I know what the sand tasted like. What the burn pits smelled like. What the mortars sounded like. Lauren Boebert doesn’t have a clue what sacrifice or service means – and she dishonors those of us who actually do.
We can finally defeat Lauren Boebert and put an end to her embarrassing political career. Boebert only beat Adam Frisch by 546 votes in what was the closest race in the entire country. But if I am going to win and flip this seat, I am counting on your help now to do it.
We’ve set a goal to raise another $10,000 before midnight tonight to defeat Lauren Boebert and take back the House for Democrats, but right now, we’re still very short. If we are going to finally send Lauren Boebert packing and flip this seat blue, I need grassroots donors like you to chip in now to my campaign:

The support of people like you means more to me than I can explain.
I know that we can flip this seat and defeat Lauren Boebert, and we will do it together.
Thank you,
Eileen
