Let me tell you something I learned on the International Space Station.

When Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine, the Russian cosmonauts I served alongside knew it was wrong. They were intelligent men. They understood exactly what was happening. But they went along with it anyway. Maybe they played along because it was good for their careers or because they were afraid of what opposing Putin would mean for them or their families.

But that’s exactly what John Cornyn is doing.

He’s no fool. He knows Trump’s behavior is dangerous. He knows Trump is dragging our country toward authoritarianism. He’s known it for YEARS. But he goes along with it because he’s either afraid of Trump or because it keeps him close to power.

Or maybe both.

We don’t need another senator who’s afraid of a schoolyard bully. We need one who’s accountable to Texans—and who will actually stand up when it counts.
