The news outlet Current Revolt, led by Tony Ortiz, has released an interview with a woman who alleges to have had a17-year affair with State Representative Giovanni Capriglione. Some allegations made in the interview are far worse than this, so we won't repeat them here. Days before the story came out, as many were hinting at a coming story, Rep Capriglione announced that we would no longer seek re-election. As of yesterday, Representative Capriglione put out a statement denying the allegations, other than the fact that an affair did occur. He stated that the affair did in fact happen. We are praying for all involved, and ask that you do the same. The full story is behind a pay wall. You can find the original report HERE. Redistricting Efforts Continue Of the many important issues on the docket for the special session, the headline for the Trump Administration is redistricting. President Trump is hoping to net five more Republican seats in our state. This will give Trump breathing room to push his agenda even farther down the field. Currently, the margins are so thin that Democrats and Never Trump Republicans can prevent parts of the MAGA agenda from passing. Should the Texas Legislature deliver on a redistricting plan, 2026 could see Trump better equipped to Make America Great Again. Blue states are threatening to redistrict in response, but Republicans can still win even if they follow through, because most blue states are already far more gerrymandered than red states. Quorum Break 2? With the special session of the Legislature and redistricting talks in full swing, several Democrats have left the state and are hinting at an attempt to break quorum, as they did a few years ago. While they may have gotten away with it years ago, they must not be allowed should they choose to do so again. This time, the House can not only have them arrested if they break quorum, but also defund part of their office budget. Should this happen, their staff will go without a paycheck. RFK has cracked down on hospitals that harvest organs in unethical ways. In certain MAHA circles, it has been common knowledge that hospitals have harvested organs from organ donors before their death, or even against their wishes once they regain consciousness. It's a ghastly industry, and we commend the Trump Administration for taking action against it. Take yourself off the organ donor list! You can read more about it HERE. ICE Hiring Bonuses Available! If anyone you know is looking to serve the Trump Administration and make our state better, now is a great time. With the passage of the Big Beautiful Bill, ICE funding has skyrocketed. This money is being used to hire new ICE agents. The salaries are high, but positions also come with five-figure sign-up bonuses up to $30,000. This is a great opportunity for anyone you know who is looking for a job working to make our communities safer! You can read more about it HERE. Share The Roundup with Friends!
