Dear John,
This summer is flying by. đ
A quick update on TakeAction Minnesota membersâ organizing in July:
đ We're still BUZZING from Omar Fateh's historic DFL endorsement win at last weekendâs convention!
đ Duluth Tenants members launched their first canvass shifts to get out the vote for Duluth Right to Repair by November 4.
âď¸ Minneapolis Families for Public Schools continues to organize alongside Minneapolis Federation of Educators as they bargain with the district for smaller class sizes and special ed caseloads.
đŤ TCUP members are taking inspo from labor union siblings, organizing pods to gear up for the next phase of the advance campaign.
𤏠MN United Parents is gearing up to talk to thousands of Minnesotans about the radicalizing experience of being a parent â and be the difference in the 2026 election season.
Read on for more, including an â¨exclusive interview⨠with Duluth Tenants member Chloe Holloway.
Whether youâre a member of a TakeAction Minnesota team or part of our general membership, weâre glad youâre here.
Weâre thrilled about: Omar Fateh winning the DFL endorsement
đ Still buzzing from Fatehâs endorsement win
50+ TakeAction members spent 14+ hours at the DFL City Convention last weekend having deep conversations, supporting each other, and organizing with heart. S/o to the members who have been preparing for MONTHS to show up powerfully in that space and take a big step toward winning the city we deserve.
See photos and join this backyard fundraiser for Fateh on Monday, July 28.

âď¸ The Bargaining Update: There is no update
In a frustrating move, Minneapolis Public Schools continues to drag its feet to respond to contract demands that Minneapolis Federation of Educators and Minneapolis Families for Public Schools co-presented back in April to address ballooning class sizes and special education caseloads.
Join our August 10 Back to School training to see how you can plug into the contract fight alongside educators. Join an upcoming Info Session on August 12 or 14 to get the inside scoop on district politics and finances so we can win the changes our families deserve.

đŤ Oh my pod! TCUP members get in formation
Performers are workers, so it only makes sense that weâre taking inspo from our siblings in labor organizing! âPodsâ are smaller teams within a larger union structure. Weâre building them in TCUP to level up for the next phase of our advance campaign.
Join TCUPâs open meeting TOMORROW, July 26 for more.

𤏠MN United Parents are over politics-as-usual
Corporations and politicians donât get to mess with our families. We are incensed as we watch Trumpâs Big Ugly bill rip away food and healthcare from our families so billionaires get even richer.
Join our August 12 meeting to get in on our plan to talk to thousands of parents across the state â and be the difference in the 2026 elections in Minnesota.

Weâre chatting with: Chloe Holloway, Duluth Tenants
1) What's your team and, if you're into astrology, your sign?
Iâm a member of Duluth Tenants. I'm an Aquarius sun, Sagittarius moon, and Leo rising. The perfect mix of weird, passionate, and rebellious!
2) What's one thing you've learned about yourself since you started organizing?
I've always felt like more of a follower, but being with Duluth Tenants has helped me find my own voice, take back my own power, and given me the ability to become a more confident leader.
3) Do you remember the moment you realized you'd be sticking around in Duluth Tenants for a while?
I think attending the power, self-interest, and 1:1 training back in February was what really got me ready and excited to be involved. That, along with the amazing camaraderie within Duluth Tenants has me locked in and energized for the next season of organizing!
4) What's the topic you could talk about for hours on end?
I'm obsessed with professional wrestling. Major wrestling promotions like WWE or AEW, local indie shows, silly fanfic about the characters, I love it all!
What have you been up to this summer? Reply and let us know.
More soon,
