Email from Rep. Nehls Rep. Troy E. Nehls Introduces the REMOVE Act Greetings! I wanted to take a moment to share with you a recap of what happened last week in Texas' 22nd District and the United States House of Representatives. Last Friday, July 18, 2025, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard exposed overwhelming evidence that the Obama Administration manufactured the infamous Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, the narrative that claimed Russia was attempting to influence the 2016 presidential election. DNI Gabbard declassified documents revealing how former President Barack Obama and his national security team laid the groundwork for what would be the years-long Trump-Russia collusion probe hoax. The declassified documents revealed that in the months leading up to the 2016 presidential election, the intelligence community assessed that Russia was “probably not trying…to influence the election by using cyber means.” Despite this assessment, former President Obama still pushed forward with the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, directing the intelligence community to create a new intelligence community assessment that detailed the “tools Moscow used and actions it took to influence the 2016 election.” Following the creation of this made-up report, officials of the Obama Administration then distributed false statements to their talking heads in the media, claiming that “Russia has attempted through cyber means to interfere in, if not actively influence, the outcome of an election.” DNI Gabbard has referred the declassified documents, which expose the Obama Administration coordinating a coup against President Trump, to the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and will continue to do so. Every single person involved in this major scandal—former President Obama, former DNI James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan, National Security Advisor Susan Rice, former Secretary of State John Kerry, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe—should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. In 2023, the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing with Special Counsel John Durham, who was tasked to investigate the origins of the FBI’s “Crossfire Hurricane,” also known as the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax. During the hearing, I talked about how the Trump-Russia collusion was all because the Deep State, the Clintons, and the dishonest media were terrified of President Donald J. Trump. During the hearing, I laid out the facts about just how far their hatred for President Trump went. They stopped at nothing to try to prevent President Trump from becoming the 45th President and to undermine the will of the American people. Thankfully, now the Trump Administration is exposing this attempted coup and everyone who was involved. Accountability is coming. Watch my questioning of Special Counsel John Durham in 2023 HERE. This Week in Washington, D.C. Rep. Troy E. Nehls Introduces the REMOVE Act Millions of illegal aliens invaded our homeland under the Biden Administration, bringing with them crime and destruction. Due to the so-called leadership of former President Joe Biden and his administration, gang members, cartel members, and violent criminal illegal aliens are living in our country. Their presence poses a direct threat to the safety of the American people. This week, I introduced the Rapid Expulsion of Migrant Offenders who Violate and Evade (REMOVE) Act. My bill would conclude removal proceedings for illegal aliens within 15 days after such proceedings are commenced. Simply put, my legislation will help deliver President Donald J. Trump’s mass deportation operation by giving the Trump Administration the ability to get these bad hombres off our streets at record speed. The Trump Administration should have every tool at its disposal to restore our national sovereignty. Read more about my bill in Breitbart. Rep. Troy E. Nehls Hosts Second Bipartisan ATC/NAS Modernizaton Working Group This week, as Chairman of the House Aviation Subcommittee, I held the second meeting of the bipartisan Air Traffic Control (ATC)/National Airspace System (NAS) Modernization Working Group, alongside a member of the House Aviation Subcommittee, Representative Sharice Davids (D-KS-03). This working group is designed to foster open dialogue with a broad range of aviation industry stakeholders regarding the Trump Administration’s plan to revitalize our nation’s ATC system. This week’s session was held with telecommunications providers, focused on making necessary changes to our telecommunications infrastructure within our ATC and national airspace systems. It’s no secret that the current telecommunications technologies being used are outdated and are subject to temporary outages. This cannot continue to be the norm. We are leaning forward in the saddle and are committed to revitalizing these outdated systems. The American people deserve the best, and we are focused on delivering that for them. Rep. Troy E. Nehls Introduces Bipartisan Joint Resolution of Disapproval to Repeal Biden's Fish & Wildlife Plan to Kill Half a Million Native Owls This week, I introduced a bipartisan House Joint Resolution of Disapproval of a Biden-era U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) agency plan that would direct the killing of nearly half a million barred owls, costing taxpayers an estimated $1.35 billion over a span of 30 years. This plan would waste hard-earned taxpayer dollars in directing and authorizing the shooting of more than 450,000 barred owls, with each owl costing ~$3,000. My resolution would effectively end the plan, thereby preventing these pointless killings and saving the taxpayers money. Under the leadership of President Trump, we are protecting Americans’ tax dollars and restoring fiscal sanity in Washington, D.C. I thank my colleagues, on both sides of the aisle, for joining me in putting a stop to this Biden-era plan. Read more in the Washington Examiner exclusive HERE. Rep. Troy E. Nehls Applauds Passage of H.R. 3095 I’m proud to announce that H.R. 3095, a bill that directs the United States Postal Service (USPS) to create unique zip codes for more than 65 cities, towns, and communities across the country, including Sargent, Texas, passed the United States House of Representatives. I am proud to be an original cosponsor of this important legislation. Currently, communities such as Sargent, Texas, don’t have their own unique zip codes. The lack of a unique zip code for a community can lead to a range of associated problems, including inconsistent postal deliveries, longer emergency response times, lost sales opportunities, and unjustifiably high insurance rates, among others. I’m glad this bill has passed the House and urge the Senate to quickly pass this legislation. Rep. Troy E. Nehls Honors Mr. Chase Childers on the House Floor I spoke on the House Floor to honor a true American hero, Mr. Chase Childers, for his brave actions earlier this month in saving a family that had been swept into a rip current, ultimately sacrificing his own life in doing so. Mr. Childers was a husband, father of three, a former police officer, and former professional baseball player who courageously laid his life down to save the lives of strangers. His actions serve as a reminder that heroism isn’t confined to a uniform or a specific profession. May his memory be a blessing and inspire us all to lend a helping hand to our families, friends, neighbors, and even total strangers. My family and I are praying for his family and loved ones. Federal resources, such as those provided by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Ready.gov, offer valuable guidance, including emergency alerts, disaster planning tools, and response checklists tailored to individual and family needs. As hurricane season approaches, staying proactive can make a significant difference. Monitor trusted sources like the National Hurricane Center for real-time updates and establish a comprehensive emergency plan that covers evacuation routes, family communication, and essential supplies. It’s also wise to prepare your home by securing outdoor items, reinforcing windows and doors, and reviewing your insurance policies—especially for those in coastal or flood-prone areas. For further assistance, FEMA’s Resource Library for Individual Assistance provides clear information on disaster support services, how assistance works, and what steps to take after applying. If you’ve already submitted a claim, visit I Applied for Assistance. What's Next? on FEMA.gov for guidance on next steps. Be sure to check out my website for further local and state resources on how to prepare for a natural disaster.
