President and Mrs. Bush visited Windhoek Central Hospital in Windhoek, Namibia on April 5, 2017, and toured the maternity ward, where they met mothers with HIV whose babies were born HIV-free thanks to PEPFAR.

PEPFAR will continue to save lives from HIV/AIDS
Congress and the Administration agreed last week to preserve funding for the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). This decision should reinvigorate the program to provide the critical treatment and prevention assistance that has already saved more than 26 million lives.
