WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, I spoke with the press about my historic immigration bill: the Dignity Act of 2025.
America’s immigration system has been broken for decades. It has overwhelmed our borders, enforcement is outdated, and Washington has failed to deliver lasting solutions.
The DIGNITY Act of 2025 changes that. It’s a practical solution to help us move forward while protecting long-term immigrants.
This is not amnesty.
No pathway to citizenship.
No federal benefits to those who broke the law.
Here is what it does instead:
Secures the Border: With a clear national strategy, and the tools law enforcement needs.
Mandatory E-Verify: Every employer must confirm work eligibility, cutting off the jobs magnet that fuels illegal immigration.
Restores order: Longterm undocumented immigrants can earn the right to stay, but only by passing strict background checks, paying restitution fees and maintaining good behavior. No handouts. No citizenship.
And this costs taxpayers nothing.
The program pays for itself through fines and fees.
The DIGNITY Act is a final fix: compassionate but tough. It strengthens our economy, honors the rule of law, and protects American workers.
