John,

With the chaos in Washington these last six months, I want you to know that I’m laser-focused on delivering results home to the Santa Clarita, Antelope, and San Fernando Valleys.

I negotiated a series of wins for CA-27 from my position on the House Armed Services Committee in this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) – bringing federal funding back to businesses, workers, and servicemembers impacting aerospace, defense, and wildfire response technologies in the district.

One critical focus of mine in particular that I’m proud to have brought funding back home for is wildfire prevention, a challenge that Southern Californians understand all too well.

While our state is still reeling from the devastating fires in January, I secured increased support for the FireGuard program – a key part in detecting and tracking wildfires and ensuring information reaches firefighters quickly.

The legislation also urges development of advanced aerial fire response technology to help stop wildfires in areas deemed too dangerous to send firefighters.

These changes will help keep CA-27 safer, our first responders better equipped, and our wildfire response faster and more effective.

This federal funding is just the tip of the iceberg. I’m looking forward to delivering more wins for our communities, and it’s with your continued support that I’m able to stay in Congress working for you.

Thank you,

George
