Team — D.C. Republicans shut down the House of Representatives to block a vote on the Epstein files. Sellout Stefanik and New York House Republicans would rather cover for Trump than do their jobs. It’s ridiculous. People are sick and tired of the dysfunction in D.C. Congressional Republicans would rather grind business to a halt than release the Epstein files. Not only am I calling for a release of the Epstein files, but I’m taking action in New York to protect women and survivors of domestic abuse. Last year, I announced a record-level $35 million state investment to improve the public safety response to intimate partner abuse and domestic violence and better address the needs of survivors. I am committed to making our state a safe place for women and survivors who deserve justice. Because this issue is personal to me. In the 1970s, my mother became an advocate for survivors of domestic violence. She worked with survivors to give these women the opportunity to restart their lives. While D.C. Republicans provide cover for Donald Trump, I’m working to make New York a place for women and survivors where they are safe, can seek justice, and move forward with their lives with support.
