This Wednesday, July 30, I’m hosting a telephone town hall at 6 PM Pacific and will be joined by special guests to discuss your concerns and the Republican-passed Big Ugly Bill. You can sign up to receive a call at Lieu.House.Gov/Townhall.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office released findings this week that confirm what Democrats have been saying all along: the Big Ugly Bill will rip away health care from millions of Americans and add trillions to the national debt.

Congressional Republicans are focused on cutting taxes for billionaires and protecting pedophiles. This week, Speaker Johnson shut down the House until September to avoid voting on the release of the Epstein files.

Their priorities are all wrong. Inflation is up, and folks are concerned about Medi-Cal and how these cuts will impact everyone’s health care costs.

The state of our politics is stressful right now, but we have to stay engaged and keep fighting back. I look forward to speaking with everyone on Wednesday.
