We need you to chip in so we can continue working against the Trump administration’s attacks on the VA. If you can, please send $20, $10, even $5.

We’re asking you today because we’ve seen a real dip in our fundraising over the last month — and because with so many big stories in the news, real threats to the VA are falling under the radar.

We know they’ve already finalized plans to reduce VA staffing by 30,000 at a time when they are already understaffed and under-resourced. We know VA hospitals and clinics are already suffering from previous cuts. But Trump’s not stopping there.

Republicans in Congress are working on eliminating bonuses for VA staff. It’s a blatant effort to get more of them to quit, and to undermine recruitment for additional talented staff.

Trump’s DOGE boys are using AI to deny valid disability claims, too — an explicit attack on Veterans who need help.

And behind the scenes, VA appointees are working to provide more “choice” for VA patients. “Choice” is a funny word for it, because it actually means destroying internal capacity at the VA in favor of privatization. Never mind the fact that study after study shows Veterans less satisfied with private care than internal VA care.

Trump, Collins, and this MAGA Congress have one goal here: Destroy the VA, replace it with privatized health care, and make a quick buck off of sick Veterans.

Not if we have anything to say about it. VoteVets has stopped every effort to privatize the VA, and we’re not about to quit now.
