UPDATE from The Cook Political Report: "I've seen enough: Jamaal Bowman (D) has defeated 16-term Rep. Eliot Engel (D) in the #NY16 primary" for Congress.

MORE VICTORY! Congressional candidates Mondaire Jones (NY-17), Dana Balter (NY-24), and Ritchie Torres (NY-15) won their congressional races! AOC (NY-14) fought off a challenger and won! Charles Booker is still looking good in Kentucky's Senate race as votes come in. CONGRATS! CONGRATS! CONGRATS! CONGRATS!
PCCC members donated over $115,000 to successful candidates last night! Let's keep the momentum going! More elections are as soon as next week!
On a Zoom call with PCCC members, Jamaal said: "The PCCC is an amazing, amazing organization doing great work... Progressives are in the fight to stay, in the fight to win...continuing to build a movement and engage people in grassroots organizing to push our politicians in the right direction in terms of progressive policy."
He campaigned on Medicare For All, a Green New Deal, and racial and economic justice. Recruited by our friends at Justice Democrats, Jamaal was endorsed by the PCCC, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, AOC, Working Families Party, the Sunrise Movement, and others.
The Hill reports that Bowman's victory gives "progressives their biggest primary victory of the cycle. It's extremely rare for a sitting committee chairman to lose in a primary."
Read more about them below! Thanks for being a bold progressive.

Andrew Romanoff (U.S. Senate - Colorado) is a former Colorado Speaker of the House running for U.S. Senate next week against John Hickenlooper -- the guy who ran for president and consistently attacked Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders from the right. This is one of the most winnable Senate seats in the nation, and there's no excuse to elect a right-wing Democrat. Andrew Romanoff's running on Medicare For All and a Green New Deal. John Hickenlooper opposes those, supports police policies that encourage violence while proclaiming "every life matters," and is now embroiled in an ethics/corruption scandal that could hurt our chances of winning this easy-to-win race in November. PCCC members have already made nearly 1,000 donations to Romanoff and the PCCC will formally endorse him this week. Donate here.
Sen. Ed Markey (U.S. Senate - Massachusetts) was the first senator to endorse a Green New Deal, the first senator to reject campaign cash from the Fraternal Order of Police that opposes reform, and one of the first members of Congress ever to fight for Net Neutrality. He’s facing a September 1 primary against Joe Kennedy III, who is running for no reason whatsoever. Markey is a lifelong progressive fighter who has been endorsed by Elizabeth Warren and AOC. PCCC members have already donated thousands to Markey and the PCCC will formally endorse him this week. Donate here.
Candace Valenzuela (TX-24) is running in a July 14 Democratic primary run-off to replace retiring Republican Rep. Kenny Marchant in TX-24, one of the most flippable races in the country in 2020. Candace grew up in a military family that struggled financially and was homeless for a time. She went on to become an educator, and then was the first Latina and African-American woman elected to her local school board. She is a PCCC training alum and is endorsed by the PCCC and Elizabeth Warren. Nearly 1,000 PCCC members have already donated thousands to her campaign and she recently participated in a Zoom video call with PCCC members. Donate here.
Arati Kreibich (NJ-5) is challenging corporate Dem Congressman Josh Gottheimer in the NJ primary on July 7, and PCCC members have already donated over $20,000 to her campaign. Gottheimer organized other conservative Democrats to kill House Democratic attempts to end child cages at the border -- an absurd position for someone representing a suburb of New York. He is funded by Wall Street and votes their way. Arati is a progressive city councilwoman endorsed by the PCCC, Bernie Sanders, and many local progressives. She attended the PCCC’s candidate training, recently participated in a Zoom video call with PCCC members, and is fighting for Medicare For All, a Green New Deal, and challenging big-money special interests. Donate here.
Mike Siegel (TX-10) is running in a July 14 Democratic primary run-off to unseat Republican incumbent Michael McCaul, who Mike came 4 percentage points away from defeating in 2018 -- with no institutional support. McCaul votes with Trump 96.4% of the time, while Siegel is a former union organizer and public school teacher endorsed by the PCCC, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, the Sunrise Movement, and local and national unions. As an Austin city attorney, Mike took on Texas Republicans to demand gun reforms. As a civil rights lawyer he also sued employers on behalf of women who experienced workplace discrimination and whistleblowers who suffered retaliation. PCCC members across the nation have donated thousands to Mike’s campaign, and Mike recently participated in a Zoom video call with PCCC members. Donate here.
Jon Hoadley (MI-06) is running against Congressman Fred Upton, the top Republican on the Energy & Commerce Committee and one of the worst Republicans on climate. Jon is one of the few openly gay members of the Michigan state legislature and has been a champion for progressive issues throughout his career. He is endorsed by the PCCC, supports Medicare for All, expanding Social Security, and the Green New Deal. PCCC members have already donated thousands to his primary on August 4, and was just on a Zoom with PCCC members this evening. Donate here.
