Team,
Your support makes everything we do possible, especially when it comes to training the next generation of organizers.
We asked our members what it means to power their communities, and what kind of future we can achieve if we all stand together. Their responses show that your support isn’t just financial, it’s transformational.
Before you read their replies and see your support in action, will you power future UWD training events with a $5 donation today? Our fight for immigrants’ rights starts within our own communities, because this movement will always be powered by the people.
Q: What does it mean to power your community? In what ways are you showing up to power your communities at school, at work, and in your family or friend groups?
A:
“I power up my community by making time for joy and celebration. They sow chaos while we sow love.”
“My community is powered by love. That is why I fight every day to ensure all public school students are treated with dignity. Instead of punishing or criminalizing Black, brown, transgender and gender nonconforming, and immigrant youth, we should support youth so they can develop their own power and agency.”
“I am showing up to local board meetings to demand that the police stop collaborating with ICE. I'm getting trained on rapid response for when ICE shows up in my neighborhood or my place of work.”

Q: What kind of future can we build when we all stand together?
A:
“When we the people come together, we can fight for a future where everyone feels safe, everyone feels valued and heard. I want my child to grow up in a world that celebrates our differences with love and understanding and empathy.”
“I believe a just and liberated future for ALL of us is possible — one where we share joy, celebrate our unique gifts, strive, struggle, and grow in community, honor and listen to each other, make space for restoration and rest, nurture creativity, and practice radical love.
Together we can tear down white supremacy in all its forms, build communities, states, and a country where we all belong and have what we need… Everyone, including my immigrant neighbors, are in this vision — because we are already home.”

While our communities are threatened, we continue to come together to show that it’s people, not billionaires, who will turn the tide.
We’re building something rooted in community, and you’re an instrumental part of that. So please consider making a contribution today; any amount will help United We Dream mobilize the next generation of leaders.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
The respective merchants of record for transactions to United We Dream Network are ActBlue Charities Inc. They receive and process those donations and subsequently give them to the organization or cause indicated on the contribution form within 30 days. This donation is tax-deductible.
Thank you for powering this vital work.
More to come,
Bruna, United We Dream
