Hi John,

We’re still live at the Capitol!

Since Wednesday, we’ve been uplifting stories of caregivers, older adults, disabled people, and families directly impacted by Congress’s decision to gut Medicaid and other essential programs.

There’s still time to tune into the livestream and take action.

And tomorrow, the work continues with Families First rallies across the country. From rural towns to major cities, we are rising up to say, “Our families come first!” Will we see you at a rally near you?

Join us as we come together to resist these cuts and remind the people in power who they’re meant to serve.

I hope you’ll join us,

- Nicole

------ BEGIN FORWARDED MESSAGE ------

Hi John,

We’re live from the National Mall in Washington, D.C. For the next 60 hours, caregivers, older adults, disabled people, and advocates from across the country will hold vigil to honor what’s been lost and demand better.

This vigil is a direct response to the cruel budget bill that Congress passed, gutting Medicaid, SNAP, and other essential programs – all to fund tax breaks for billionaires and boost ICE and military spending.

Congressional leaders claim we’ll “get over” these disastrous cuts. We’re showing up because we won’t get over it. And we want you with us.

Instead of funding care and saving lives, Congress chose the ultra-wealthy, war, deportations, and corporate greed. Lawmakers who voted for this bill cannot claim to care about national security while slashing the very programs that actually keep us safe.

Real security means access to food, health care, and dignity. Not cruelty disguised as policy.

There’s still time to slow implementation, organize resistance in the states, and hold every lawmaker accountable. But we can’t do it without you.

Watch the livestream now [[link removed]] – whether it’s for 60 minutes or 60 hours. Join us in grief. Join us in anger. Join us in resistance.

Together, we can make it impossible for Congress to ignore who is being harmed and demand a future where care is protected and valued.

We hope you’ll tune in,

Caring Across Generations
