John,
We don’t have to wait until 2026 or 2028 to fight for the soul of our democracy – the fight is happening right now in Pennsylvania.
This November, we will vote in critical races for our state Supreme Court. These justices don’t just interpret the law – they determine how elections are run, whether reproductive rights are protected, and whether extremist efforts to suppress votes are stopped in their tracks.
These are retention races: Voters will be asked “Yes” or “No” on returning sitting justices to the bench. These three were elected in 2015, their terms expire at the end of this year, and all are highly recommended by the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Please support the entire Democratic ticket this November, but I’m asking you today to make a plan now to vote “Yes” for:
Justice Christine Donohue
Justice Kevin M. Dougherty
Justice David Wecht
Their seats are critical to maintaining the current 5–2 Democratic majority. Put simply: If at least two of the justices aren’t retained, Republicans could flip the court for the first time in a decade. They are trying, pouring money into Pennsylvania (and Wisconsin, which is in a similar situation).
The stakes couldn’t be higher. This court has final say on electoral disputes – including in 2028 and beyond. Cases pending before the court right now cover mail-in ballots, use of Medicaid, and women’s reproductive health. Do we want these decisions in the hands of Republicans? No, definitely not the MAGA Republicans who have taken over their party. We’re seeing harmful consequences of that in Washington, D.C.
Pennsylvania isn’t just a battleground – it’s a blueprint. If we show up, organize, and win here, we send a message across the country: Democrats are not backing down.
Your donation will help fund voter outreach, protect ballot access, and ensure that every voice is heard. This fight matters – not just for Pennsylvanians but for our country’s future.
With all eyes on Pennsylvania, will you chip in $5 or more now to help me continue the fight to defend our high courts, protect our democracy from Trump and his GOP allies, and deliver for families in PA-06?

There’s work to be done,
Chrissy
