We have some really big news, and I wanted you to be one of the first to know.

Today, I announced my pick for Lieutenant Governor of New Jersey: Dr. Dale Caldwell.

Dale is a true servant leader and I can’t wait for all of New Jersey to get to know him as I have. You’d be hard pressed to find a more impressive resume, with experience in the private sector, higher education, and state and local government. Dale has spent his entire life serving the State of New Jersey, as the 15th President of Centenary University, President of the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey, President of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Eastern Region, a member of the New Brunswick Board of Education, and the pastor of the Covenant United Methodist Church in Plainfield.

But just as important as his resume is his character. Dale’s life has been about serving as a voice for the voiceless — in his choice of profession, as a minister, and in his lifelong volunteerism.

Dale and I share a deep belief in the potential of this state, and I’m excited to have him by my side as we get to work to provide opportunity and pathways to success for every New Jerseyan.
