Today, I’m officially launching my campaign for Governor of Wisconsin.

In a time like this, I know so many Wisconsinites are wondering: Who’s fighting for me?

I want you to know — I am.

I didn’t plan to run for office. I’m a wife, a working mom, a nurse, a small business owner, and a proud Wisconsinite who saw a system failing everyday families and decided to do something to help fix it.

In 2020, I ran for State Assembly because I knew our families deserved better. Then I ran for Lieutenant Governor to help Governor Evers lead Wisconsin through some of its toughest moments. Now, I’m stepping up again because Wisconsin is worth fighting for.

I’m the granddaughter of dairy farmers from Richland County. I’m the daughter of a working-class union household. My mom was a teaching assistant, and my dad was a veteran who fixed telephones. They raised my siblings and me to work hard, speak up, and never back down.

I want you to know that I’ll never back down. Not when we have a president who has destroyed the rule of law, wrecked our economy, and is hell-bent on driving up our debt and taking away our health care. And not when Wisconsin’s radical legislature is failing Wisconsin’s working families and blocking progress at every turn.

Wisconsinites deserve leadership they can trust. So while Trump and his allies try to drag us backward by attacking our freedoms, our public schools, and the basic services our families rely on, I know that this is a moment where we have to fight back — and I’m ready to lead.

Let me say it again: I’m not backing down. Not now, not ever.
