CND Groups across the country are preparing their annual events to mark the 80th anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. You can find an event near you on our interactive map here. If you are organising an event, please email the detail to [email protected] and we will add it to the map and our events page.

We’ve also created a beautiful No More Hiroshimas t-shirt and accessories to help us raise awareness about the need to halt the growing nuclear threat - you can buy yours here.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our 80th anniversary Hiroshima and Nagasaki appeal. If you haven’t yet, please do so here.

CND Annual General Meeting and Policy Conference 2025

CND’s AGM and Policy Conference for 2025 will take place online on Saturday, 11 October. This is an important part of our democratic structure where we elect our leadership and outline campaigning priorities for the year ahead.

If you are a CND member and would like to attend, please fill out the form here. You can find deadlines for nominations and resolutions here too. If you are not a member of national CND, please join here before registering for the conference.

Defending the right to protest: drop the charges

The General Secretaries of 22 trade unions have issued a joint statement defending the right to protest and calling for all charges against the members of the Palestine Coalition leadership to be dropped, including CND General Secretary Sophie Bolt.

Rather than holding nuclear-armed Israel to account for its genocide of Palestinians, the British government refuses to take the necessary action to bring these daily horrors to an end. Instead, it clamps down on the right to protest and criminalises protesters instead of those committing war crimes.

CND calls for all the charges made against those who have peacefully protesting for Palestinians human rights to be dropped. Sophie will be appearing at Westminster Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 31 July. Supporters are asked to join us outside from 9am! More details here.
