When the federal government abandons us, states must step up to the plate. We are the last line of defense, and last hope, for so many young people who just want to feel seen, heard, and safe.

As a leader in the Washington State Legislative LGBTQ+ Caucus – and a proud member of this great community – I’ve spent my career making Washington a sanctuary for LGBTQ+ people:

✅ Required schools to protect trans students from bullying

✅ Championed the Gender Affirming Care Act, safeguarding trans healthcare
