**a Democrat,** was just hit with two public sanctions for violating defendants’ constitutional rights and abusing her authority. In one case, she jailed someone for six days despite being legally recused. In another, she let her coordinator conduct a hearing without informing the attorneys. More than 100 recusal motions have been filed against her, and now the state confirms what many already knew: this judge has no business being on the bench.

If a police officer had pulled something like this, the outrage would be immediate. But because it’s a judge, City Hall stays silent. This is the same double standard we’ve seen over and over, where cops get dragged for

**doing** their jobs, while elected officials in robes face no real consequences for

**not** doing theirs.
