Our upcoming election is going to be unprecedented—it’s one of the most consequential elections of our lifetimes and it’s likely we will still be facing the threat of COVID-19. We need to make sure that every Alaskan can safely and securely have their vote counted in November.
Here in Alaska, everyone has the right to absentee vote by mail, but voters have to fill out a ballot request form. Right now, our state government is making plans to mail these requests forms only to voters 65 and older, instead of everyone getting equal access and opportunity.

More than 85% of Alaskans are younger than 65, and of those, 33% of them are people of color. Our movement is powered by Alaskans of all ages and races, but we are especially proud of the young, diverse supporters who are getting involved and showing their support.
If we want to make sure their voices are heard loud and clear, we need to increase our voter outreach to help people younger than 65 request ballots themselves. That means increasing our budget for Facebook advertising, staff on the ground, and tools like texting software that maximize voter outreach.
This, of course, takes resources. Please, contribute what you can today to help us maximize turnout. Whether it’s $10, $100, or whatever else you can give right now, you are helping us gain the votes we need to win, and ensuring that our supporters will be able to safely cast their ballots by November 3.
