John, I’m furious. 🤬
Families in Bucks County have found *jet fuel in their drinking water* thanks to a leaky pipeline owned by Sunoco. And instead of cleaning it up fast, Sunoco is dragging their feet and hiding the ball.
So last week, I grilled Trump’s pipeline safety nominee in the Senate Commerce Committee to make sure he knows just how serious this issue is.
Because we need answers – and action. Because right now? Sunoco’s response isn’t just pathetic – it’s downright shady.
Here’s what they still won’t tell us:
- How much fuel leaked
- How long it was leaking
- Where the fuel went
- What other chemicals were in that line
- Whether they’ve even tested the leak to verify what chemicals are in it
Even worse: Toxins like lead that have been long banned in fuel are now showing up in folks' water. Sunoco’s solution? Just stop testing for anything they don’t want to find.
These are the same folks who were criminally charged in 2022 for ignoring environmental laws. Now we’re supposed to trust them to play by the rules? Not a chance.
If you’re as mad about this as I am, I need you to take two minutes to fill out my Environmental Survey. I want to hear directly from you – because we're not going to rest until we get answers.
