$33 million rescinded contributions to international organizations.

$203 million rescinded from contributions for international peacekeeping activities.

$1.65 billion rescinded from the Economic Support Fund.

$8.3 billion rescinded to foreign assistance funding.

And more were all rescinded last week as part of the GOP’s Rescissions Act of 2025. This act CUTS vital foreign aid programs and public broadcasting – all as a special request from Trump. This is a disgusting overreach of power.

What is this for exactly? To continue to fund Trump’s tax breaks for billionaires.

I proudly voted against this package, and I wish my colleagues on the other side of the aisle had the same care for our federal investments, which were previously authorized by bipartisan support.

With this bill, the GOP is choosing to be a rubber stamp for Trump, while simultaneously defunding Sesame Street, Ohio’s journalism, emergency alert systems, foreign aid programs, and more.

The only way to stop the continued recklessness of Republicans in Congress is to flip the House in 2026. My fellow Democrats and I need your immediate support. Will you rush $5 to support our work in Congress and to fight back against Trump and his cronies?[link removed]
