Illegal crime just hit one of our own. And Arizona’s name is all over it. 

It may have happened in New York City - but it started in Arizona. 

Over the weekend, an off-duty U.S. Border Patrol agent was ambushed and shot in the face while sitting in a park.

The shooter? Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez - an illegal from the Dominican Republic with a violent criminal record, released into the U.S. at the San Luis, Arizona, crossing in April 2023 under Joe Biden’s watch. 

That’s right: He was caught by Border Patrol agents in Arizona… then let go. 

Now a Border Patrol officer is in the hospital, shot in the face and arm, lucky to be alive. 

This is the exact kind of failure that radical sanctuary politicians want to bring to our state permanently. 

Enough. 

Arizona cannot afford to become the next sanctuary state - and I’m running to make sure we NEVER do.

Mora Nunez had an active warrant for armed robbery in Massachusetts. He illegally entered at the Arizona border. Then he roamed free - until he pulled a gun on one of our own.

This is our line in the sand.
