It's been just over a month since House DFLers lost Melissa Hortman, our Speaker and our friend, and the state of Minnesota was changed forever.
This change has affected all of us. We are all grieving, even as we recognize that we must continue the work of protecting Minnesota's freedoms.
It is painfully clear that some will go to extreme lengths to prevent us from exercising all of our freedoms, especially the right to determine our own destinies.
That's why our partner, EMILYs List, asked me to write you this email. As we move into this new era, we need your financial support. We must win back a majority in the Minnesota House to defend reproductive freedom in our state and keep making life better and safer. To do so, we need to meet our financial goals now.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 by the end of July, so we can kickstart our campaign to retake a House majority in the strongest possible way. We need to hire canvassers, run ads, train new candidates, and keep the lights on at the office. Can you contribute an amount that's right for your family?
