Friend – I need to tell you something personal - because it’s not just about me anymore.
A former federal employee from Voice of America was just indicted after spending over a year making violent threats against me, my family, and my staff.
At one point, he told me directly:
“We’re coming after you and your staff, and we are locked and loaded.
We’re going to take you all out. You’re going to get one between the eyes.”
I have faced countless threats from extremist Democrats and radical activists before, but nothing like this...
This man terrorized me for 15 months. And now that he’s been arrested, we’ve learned he had ties to federally funded agencies and access to resources that made these threats even more chilling.
This is exactly how dangerous the rhetoric from the Left has become. For years, they’ve demonized conservatives, calling us “extremists,” and encouraging their allies to “make us pay...”
And now their words are becoming violent actions.
As a rank-and-file member of Congress, I don’t have the luxury of government security details...
I pay for protection out of my own campaign funds or my personal savings.
Democrats know that when they force me to drain my campaign funds paying for security, they make it easier to beat me at the ballot box.
So I’m asking you for you to chip in whatever you can manage to help keep me safe and fighting for our country.
