Sunsetting Solar Incentives
Recent changes in Federal incentive programs for solar power installations make it advantageous for churches to begin work sooner rather than later. Rev. Jenny Phillips, Director of Environmental Sustainability for the General Board of Global Ministries of the UMC, hosts a monthly support call for UMC churches who are filing for direct pay incentives. This month Stephanie Udler from America is All In, and Jasmine Chiu, from Rocky Mountain Institute presented about the changes and new deadlines.
The Solar Consultation is a monthly online meeting for churches intending on filing for direct pay solar incentives. It is on the second Monday of the month at 2 p.m. The next meeting is August 11. To register for the meeting go to https://zoom.us/meeting/register/almgTbijTliWFYC4cE1kxA. If you have questions contact Sarah Paulos at [email protected].
