John,
Since I announced I was running for Congress two months ago, a few people (and pundits) have told me they’re giving up on Democrats in Florida
But here’s the thing: this is my home. And I can’t look my son in the eye and tell him I’m giving up when Republicans are building “Alligator Alcatraz” right next door, attacking our constitution, and tearing our community apart.
I know this community, and I know that we’re tired of the same old story from politicians in Washington. I also know that this seat is winnable.
If you’re ready to fight back, flip this seat, and prove that our community is ready for a change, click here to chip in $5 — or any amount that feels right to you. [[link removed]]

This district was held by a Democrat less than five years ago. And Trump and Biden virtually tied in FL-27 in 2020.
Add on to that the fact that people are beyond fed up with our incumbent, Republican Maria Elvira Salazar: she voted for Trump’s terrible budget bill that will take healthcare away from 100,000 people in our district and add $3 trillion dollars to the national debt.
She also DEFENDED the horrific conditions at “Alligator Alcatraz” and went on Fox News to praise Trump’s brutal immigration policies.
So I’m not giving up on winning in Miami or in Florida. I know that with your support, we can win here, flip this seat, and take back the House. Click here to chip in $5 so we can keep fighting for Florida. [[link removed]]
Thank you,
Richard
