This is about more than just drawing new lines on a map.  It’s a test.  Republican leaders want to see if they can get away with rigging Texas’ congressional districts to serve their own interests.  And if they succeed here, they’ll try to use the same playbook across the country.

These Republicans are willing to trample the Voting Rights Act and twist the law to justify this power grab.  Rather than using the special legislative session to address the real needs of Texans, Texas Republicans are rubber-stamping a plan from President Trump and national Republican operatives to redraw congressional districts to consolidate as much power as possible.  While they scheme to protect their House majority, Texans are paying the price—stripped of fair representation and silenced at the ballot box.

Not on our watch.  We’re fighting back by telling the truth, battling misinformation, and making sure we have the resources to run strong campaigns and elect candidates who will defend our democracy.
