We want to take a moment to say thank you.
In the past week, we were able to raise more than $240,000 for World Refugee Day. That’s an outstanding level of generosity, and we want to personally thank each and every person who stepped up to make a gift, even in these exceptionally challenging times.
Transparency is one of our core values here at Doctors Without Borders: We’re proud of the way we put our donors’ money to work and eager to share how it helps save lives. Because of this generous support, we’re able to maintain financial and operational independence, which allows us to provide medical care where it's needed most in more than 70 countries.
Your support will help us as we work to prevent a COVID-19 outbreak at the world’s largest refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, where we’re providing care to thousands of Rohingya driven from neighboring Myanmar. It means we can keep providing care as the sole medical provider at the Nduta refugee camp in Tanzania. And, perhaps most importantly, the funds we raised will ensure our teams are on the ground, ready to respond quickly and efficiently to the next emergency, whenever and wherever people are affected by war, disaster, or disease.
We owe it all to donors like you. We’re truly honored by your commitment to and passion for delivering medical care where it is needed most. Thank you for standing with refugees.
