John, I grew up attending a Boys and Girls club in my blue-collar neighborhood of McKeesport.
Both my parents had to work hard to put food on the table. While my mom worked hard at the salon, my dad drove buses for Pittsburgh Regional Transit. As a family, we relied on community programs like Boys and Girls clubs to provide a safe place for me to be a kid.

It's a big part of why I'm so committed to investing in before and after-school programming in the Commonwealth. I know firsthand the impact it can make, so I'm proud of the historic investments our administration has made to help champion the next generation's success.
I've come a long way since I was a kid at the Boys and Girls club, but I know I wouldn't be here today without the support I received from my community.

We must protect these kinds of investments, especially in the face of a federal administration that turns its back on our kids at every chance it gets.
From cutting funding for schools and teachers to removing access to food assistance and healthcare, we can't slow down in the fight for our kids.
As your Lieutenant Governor, I'll always work to keep our streets safe and create ladders of opportunity for our young people. Will you do me the honor of chipping in to my re-election campaign today?
