Help Our Social Media and Volunteer Management Systems Take Flight!

Eastern Bluebirds, Danny Brown/Audubon Photography Awards

Dear NVBA Community,

We have two exciting opportunities to support the Northern Virginia Bird Alliance's mission!

Social Media Volunteer Opportunity

Are you passionate about birds and social media? We're seeking at least one creative volunteer to help transform our digital presence and connect with bird enthusiasts across the region. This flexible role (5-8 hours/week) is perfect for building your portfolio while supporting meaningful conservation work.

What You'd Be Doing:
You'll be a leading voice behind our online community, sharing stunning bird photography (photos we already have, no pressure to be a photographer!), promoting our field trips and events, creating educational content, and building connections with fellow nature enthusiasts. From showcasing our latest conservation projects to highlighting member bird sightings, you'll help tell the story of our important work.

We're Looking For:

  • Someone with social media experience (even personal accounts count!)

  • Strong writing skills and an eye for engaging content

  • 3-5 hours per week availability (flexible schedule)

  • A genuine passion for birds and conservation

  • Fresh ideas to help us reach new audiences

We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce administration and data migration
