Greetings Ward 8 Residents,
Ward 8 is home to some of the most intelligent, creative, and talented residents here in the District of Columbia. I am so proud to serve a community that is actively engaged in community development projects within the ward that will serve residents for generations to come.
Over the next few years, we will see development projects in the ward realized. While still in the planning stage, I am excited about the new Congress Heights Recreation Center renovation plans. We have a new grocery store coming to the ward, and hopefully, with the new hospital agreements, we will see a Level III Trauma Center constructed on St. Elizabeth Campus. I urge residents to share the information with neighbors on what is to come and to participate in the process.
Our government works best with participation. As a leader in this community, I want to do more to include the recommendations and vision that the people have for our ward. Continue to be a part of the conversation.
Regards,
Trayon White, Sr.
Councilmember, Ward 8
