John, this is Zach Dembo.

I’m a Navy JAG veteran, former policy advisor to Governor Andy Beshear, and most recently served as federal prosecutor at the U.S.Department of Justice.

I’m proud to announce that I’m running to flip Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District — to take on the broken, corrupt system that’s failed working  for far too long.

In a moment, I’ll tell you why I made this decision. But first, we need to show early, grassroots momentum in what could become the most consequential election happening in Kentucky. If you’re in, please chip in a split $10 donation between my campaign and Blue Amp Action.

Here’s why I’m running:

I’ve sat across from the rich and powerful, admirals, and top government officials. I’ve asked the questions they didn’t want to answer and spoken truth to power.

I’ve seen how the system protects itself, and how the people who play by the rules get screwed while the people rigging the game keep getting richer.

As a federal prosecutor in the Trump administration, it became clear the system was no longer about justice; it was about protecting those at the top and punishing dissent. I could no longer serve an administration that trampled on the rule of law, attacked democratic institutions, and treated public service like a game.

So I resigned. 

I didn’t enter public service to sit quietly while our democracy eroded or to abandon my principles just to keep a job. That’s why I’m stepping up now — to fight for a government that works for regular people, not just the well-connected.

I’m stepping up because working people are getting crushed by rising costs and government cuts while billionaires and corporations walk away with record profits and tax breaks.

I’m stepping up because people are angry, and they have every right to be. But we don’t need performative outrage — we need leaders who are willing to combat corruption head on and take action. We need fighters.

That’s what this campaign is about, John. It’s not about me, it’s about all of us, and it’s going to be powered by people like you who are sick and tired of being lied to, sold out, and left behind.
