John,
Ready for your advocacy recap? It’s a big one.
Changemakers like you sent nearly 1.3 million messages to lawmakers, organized meetings, wrote letters to the editor and spoke out on social media – all to put kids’ futures first.
Here’s how your voice moved mountains:
1. TAX WINS: Improvements to the Child Tax Credit and Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit will bring relief to millions of families.
2. FUNDING THE FUTURE: Congress passed legislation that included new Children’s Investment Accounts with a $1,000 deposit for every child born in the U.S.
3. PROTECTING FOREIGN AID: Despite major cuts, you fought to preserve some humanitarian programs that are still saving lives around the world.
4. STATE POLICY WINS: This legislative session, our volunteers helped secure over $2 billion for early learning and nutrition programs across 8 states.
5. REACHING LAWMAKERS: Our advocates engaged over 140 lawmakers to champion children’s rights.
6. STUDENT ACTION: SCAN trained 36 Student Ambassadors to fight child hunger, while 10 student clubs hosted events in their communities.
John, each and every win means real change for real children.
Thank you for pushing lawmakers to invest in kids – and invest in America.
Fired up,
